Intellectual Property Management Associate

Support UHN’s mission as an Intellectual Property Associate I, focusing on portfolio management and operational support for patents. This role is perfect for those seeking to utilize their organization and project management skills. Located at Toronto General Hospital, the successful candidate will work directly with Legal Counsel and Licensing Professionals. This temporary full-time position is oriented towards professionals with two to four years of experience in intellectual property or patent administration. You will coordinate activities, track deadlines, and handle documentation necessary for patent protection and commercialization. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage intellectual property portfolio records
- Oversee patent application and prosecution processes
- Communicate critical deadlines to involved parties
- Prepare and coordinate execution of IP-related documents
- Support compliance with legal and institutional requirements
- Degree or diploma in Business Administration or related field
- Minimum two years of relevant IP experience
- Knowledge of IP management systems beneficial
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
