Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, the Lead, Redevelopment Communications, supports strategic public relations, stakeholder engagement, government relations, and community engagement initiatives related to Southlake Health’s redevelopment priorities and organizational transformation agenda. The Lead Redevelopment Communications will develop and execute communications strategies that support corporate communications, municipal engagement, community awareness, executive communications, and redevelopment planning initiatives. Working collaboratively across the organization and with external partners, the role helps ensure consistent, transparent, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout all phases of redevelopment planning and implementation.**What you will be doing:*** Support functional programming communications strategies related to Southlake Health’s redevelopment, including the transformation of the Davis Drive campus, planning for a second acute care hospital, and development of Advanced Care Centres.* Support engagement activities with municipal leaders, government partners, community organizations, consultants, and external stakeholders related to redevelopment initiatives.* Assist in planning and executing public consultation sessions, community town halls, stakeholder meetings, and engagement activities related to redevelopment and health system transformation initiatives.* Develop executive briefing materials, key messages, speaking notes, presentations, Questions-and-Answers documents, reports, and communication products for senior leadership and Board-level engagement.* Support public affairs and government relations activities related to capital planning, healthcare transformation, and redevelopment advocacy efforts.* Monitor and assess emerging issues, media coverage, political developments, and stakeholder sentiment related to redevelopment initiatives and provide strategic communications advice.* Coordinate communications deliverables across multiple redevelopment workstreams, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency.* Accountable positioning, promoting the Southlake brand, and supporting the organization’s priorities.* Use data analytics to support strategic communications advice and measure the effectiveness of communications strategies.**What you bring:*** University degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or other related fields* Have access to reliable transportation* Minimum of 7 years’ experience working in corporate communications, public affairs or public relations, with preference provided to those with experience leading multi-phased communication plans for large-scale infrastructure projects* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including a demonstrated ability to work with diverse individuals and groups from frontline staff to members of the management and senior teams* Demonstrates good judgement and discretion* Proven ability to effectively manage time and work on several projects simultaneously* Ability to research projects extensively* Experience using data to support decision-making and strategic communications advice* Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail* Analysis/problem assessment* Innovative and willing to learn* Demonstrate leadership through critical thinking to counsel senior management* Healthcare, media relations and government relations experience are considered assets.* Flexibility to work some evenings and weekendsSouthlake Health is fully committed to a culture of belonging and an inclusive environment that encourages every team member to lead within their role, generate innovative ideas that reinforce our mission and goal to create a healthy workplace where our community can thrive.Regular and reliable attendance is an expected requirement of this position.We are committed to a selection process and work environment that is inclusive and barrier-free.
