Senior Java Developer - Delpath (Newmarket)

Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid – 44 King St. 9th Floor, Toronto.

Contract Duration: 6 months. Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE.

Number of Positions: 1.

Schedule Hours: 9am‑5pm Monday‑Friday, standard 37.5 hrs/week.

Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills

• Strong complex problem‑solving skills.
• 10+ years of full‑stack development experience (Java, NodeJS, SQL, NoSQL).
• 5+ years of cloud and containerized development experience.
• 5+ years of Agile and SDLC experience.
• Cloud solution deployment experience (GCP, Azure).
• Docker containers.
• Kubernetes.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Active Directory / Entra ID integrations focusing on SSO.
• Experience with application security tools (Checkmarx, Snyk, Wiz).
• AI agentic experience (MCPs, Agents, Skills, RAG).

Best vs. Average Candidate

Someone who can work independently with stakeholders to implement solutions from design, constantly able to update design – crucial: taking initiative, strong problem solver, strategic thinker, and can identify solutions; experience with cloud‑native protection tools. Best candidates will have used the tools themselves and understand how they work, robust independent developer, with programming and automation expertise.

Candidate Review & Selection

2–3 rounds – MS Teams video interviews – all panels.

1st: 30 minutes – initial interview with hiring manager, possibly team lead, to assess skills against the candidate’s CV.

2nd: 45 minutes – panel of project team members (HM, technical resources) – probing on technical expertise and project experience.

Potential 3rd if needed to decide between candidates.
