Step into a Senior Underwriter role at General Reinsurance Corporation, where your expertise in life underwriting will make a significant impact. Reporting directly to the Chief Underwriting Officer, the Senior Underwriter is responsible for assessing facultative risks and contributing to the firm’s growth in Canada. You will utilize your over 8 years of experience to uphold quality standards and foster enduring client relationships while engaging in the company’s strategic vision. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and underwrite facultative risks within set signing authority
- Offer technical advice and support to clients as an underwriting SME
- Maintain updated underwriting requirements for client accounts
- Participate in internal and external client audits
- Represent General Re at industry events and meetings
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
- 8+ years of life underwriting and client management experience
- Possession of FLMI, AALU, or FALU designations is advantageous
- Ability to articulate complex information clearly
- Resourceful with proven time prioritization skills
