Senior Underwriter for Casualty Reinsurance

Drive growth as AXA XL's Senior Casualty Underwriter, responsible for underwriting and servicing key accounts while enhancing market visibility. In this position, you will work closely with the Head of Canadian Reinsurance, underwriting terms for both new and renewal businesses, facilitating effective communication between departments. Your role includes participating in business development efforts while fostering a cooperative team environment to drive efficiency and performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess account information for underwriting and pricing
- Maintain a profitable book of business with quality service
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for account profitability
- Engage in marketing activities and broker relationships
- Support team growth through performance-based initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts or similar
- Relevant experience in insurance or reinsurance sectors
- Familiarity with casualty liability insurance products
- Proficient understanding of policy wording and ratings
- Strong analytical abilities and customer focus
