Senior Software Architect(MarTech) (Toronto)

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the target architecture and technical roadmap for the Digital Commerce, Communications, and Personalization domains.
• Provide hands‑on architectural guidance across multiple cross‑functional engineering squads.
• Collaborate with product managers, delivery leads, and business stakeholders to translate business goals into technology solutions.
• Design reusable and extensible service‑based and event‑driven architectures.
• Partner with data, infrastructure, security, and enterprise architecture teams to align on patterns, governance, and compliance.
• Evaluate current technologies and frameworks that enhance our ability to deliver performant and personalized digital experiences.
• Support architecture reviews, code quality assessments, and DevOps maturity across teams.
• Mentor architects and developers and foster a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

We’d love to work with you if you have:

• 10+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years in an architecture or technical leadership role.
• Deep expertise in designing and integrating distributed systems using modern frameworks and cloud platforms.
• Strong experience in delivering technical solutions in content management, creative content creation and delivery, digital messaging (email, push, SMS), customer journey orchestration, or e‑commerce.
• Proven experience with microservices, event streaming (e.g., Kafka), APIs, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Experience Manager, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar marTech ecosystems.
• Working knowledge of other marTech tools (e.g., Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, Contentful, etc.).
• Strong understanding of data privacy, authentication, security, and compliance in a regulated industry.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and technical teams alike.
• Passion for solving complex technical challenges in ways that deliver real customer value.
