Love giving back to your community? Special Olympics Ontario is looking for new and enthusiastic coaches and volunteers for the Toronto Tornadoes basketball program in Scarborough! Description What youll be doing Special Olympics provides year round sport opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Volunteers are the backbone of the Special Olympics movement! Special Olympics would not exist today and could not have been createdwithout the time, energy, commitment and enthusiasm of our volunteers and coaches. It's about making your community and neighborhood a more welcoming and accepting place for people of all abilities.We are currently seeking enthusiastic coaches, and general volunteers to help run a local basketball program in Scarborough for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The program runs weekly from October - April. Occasional weekend commitment for competitions.All volunteers 18 and over, must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check/Screening. Requirements Whether you meet these requirements or not, we encourage you to share your interest in us.
