Senior French Editor At Senate Of Canada Quebec (Quebec City)

Lead editing efforts as a Senior French Editor within the Senate of Canada. Oversee publication and preparation processes while mentoring your team and collaborating effectively. This critical role supports the Team Lead, Editing and Publications by supervising committee proceedings and preparing the Senate Debates for publication.

With a focus on excellence, you'll manage daily tasks, ensure linguistic accuracy, edit transcripts, and coordinate with team members. Solid leadership and expert editorial advice will be key components of your success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise editing of Senate committee proceedings
• Edit and prepare Senate Debates for publication
• Manage daily workflow and approvals for translation
• Mentor staff and support training initiatives
• Coordinate with Debates and Publications team members

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum five years in editing parliamentary documents
• At least five years supervising and mentoring staff
• Robust editing knowledge in a parliamentary context
