Senior Director of Public Relations and Media

The Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Toronto is seeking a Senior Director of Public Relations and Communications. This leader will be integral in crafting and executing communication strategies to elevate the Faculty's status globally. Key qualifications include extensive experience in media relations and team leadership. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute communication strategies for the Faculty
- Lead media relations efforts and create press releases
- Manage staff and oversee budgetary requirements
- Direct creative production for events and publications
- Collaborate closely with senior management on communications
- Degree in public relations or equivalent experience
- 10+ years in progressive public relations roles
- 5+ years leading staff in a complex organization
- Proven expertise in communication and negotiation
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
