Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced BigID Functional Lead to lead the functional design and implementation of enterprise data privacy solutions using the BigID platform. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in privacy operations, regulatory compliance, functional solution design, and enterprise data governance. This role requires close collaboration with Privacy, Legal, Security, Compliance, and IT teams to deliver scalable privacy capabilities while ensuring compliance with North American data protection regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Privacy Functional Design

• Own the functional design of privacy capabilities across:
  • Data Discovery
  • Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR)
  • Data Retention
  • Vendor / Third-Party Management
  • AI Governance
• Collaborate with Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and IT teams to align BigID capabilities with regulatory requirements.
• Recommend and embed Privacy by Design principles into enterprise business processes and technology solutions.

BigID Platform Implementation

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of the BigID Data Privacy platform across multiple privacy domains.
• Configure and validate platform capabilities based on business and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot platform issues, optimize performance, and support upgrades and new feature deployments.
• Develop technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for business and technical stakeholders.

Functional Analysis & Delivery

• Convert regulatory and policy requirements across multiple North American jurisdictions into testable platform configurations.
• Own functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle from analysis through deployment.
• Maintain complete requirements traceability from design through testing and implementation.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, and issue resolution.

Enterprise Integration

• Design functional integrations between BigID and enterprise systems including:
  • Active Directory
  • Cloud Storage Platforms
  • Enterprise Databases
  • IT Service Management (ITSM) and Ticketing Tools
• Support enterprise data discovery, classification, cataloging, and lineage initiatives across structured and unstructured data environments.

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

• Support implementation of privacy controls aligned with regulations including:
  • PIPEDA
  • CCPA / CPRA
  • Colorado Privacy Act (CPA)
  • Other North American privacy regulations
• Partner with business and governance teams to operationalize privacy requirements within the BigID platform.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Data Privacy with hands‑on operationalization of privacy regulations such as PIPEDA, CCPA/CPRA, CPA, and similar regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated ownership of enterprise privacy platform implementations including:
  • BigID
  • OneTrust
  • Securiti
  • Equivalent privacy platforms
• Experience implementing privacy capabilities including:
  • Data Discovery
  • Data Classification
  • DSAR Fulfillment
  • Data Retention
  • Vendor / Third-Party Management
  • AI Governance
• Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, including:
  • Structured and Unstructured Data Scanning
  • Data Cataloging
  • Data Lineage
  • Cloud Data Environments
• Proven ability to engage executive stakeholders, including CPO and DPO leadership.
• Experience delivering consulting‑grade documentation, requirements traceability, functional design, and UAT governance.
