SAP ECC/S4 HANA FICO Functional Lead

Job Description

This role is designed for an experienced SAP professional with deep expertise in SAP ECC/S4 HANA FICO, with preference for S/4 Group Reporting and SAP SAC experience. The candidate will lead the design and delivery of complex finance transformation programs, translating strategic business goals into structured, scalable SAP solutions. The role requires a blend of technical and functional mastery, business acumen, deep finance process experience, and excellent project and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, work on detailed configuration, create to-be process flows and implement, with Agilent IT and implementation partners, complex projects and programs in SAP ECC FICO and S/4HANA Finance modules, with preference for someone with Group Reporting and SAP SAC experience.
• Translate broad business strategies, programs, and projects into structured SAP business process flows.
• Serve as the functional/technical lead and Finance business process lead for finance-related SAP initiatives, partnering with Agilent IT and implementation partners.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and gather requirements, prototype solution designs, for seamless integration of all finance priorities across modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, PS).
• Be the leader that liaises with IT to represent all Finance stakeholders and finance and compliance requirements (including Finance Operations, Tax, Global Trade, Financial Reporting & Consolidation, FP&A, etc.).
• Drive data migration, cutover planning, and system testing for ECC to S/4 transitions.
• Resolve complex system and process design issues, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
• Mentor junior teammates and lead project teams through delivery and the project lifecycle.
• Act as a role model for peers and practice strong Agilent Values.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to align priorities and build SAP solutions with business objectives, strategies, and KPIs.
• Approach learning and working through uncertainties and challenges with a great attitude and growth mindset.
• Lead the Group Reporting transition from legacy systems (highly preferred Oracle EPM) to S4 HANA Group Reporting, implement best strategies for a successful Finance Transformation, and lead integration of Group Reporting with S/4 HANA, Universal Journal, SAP Fiori Apps, and SAP Analytics Cloud.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in SAP FICO (ECC and S/4HANA).
• Deep techno-functional expertise in at least 2–3 sub-functions of Finance such as Intercompany, RAR, FA, etc.
• SAP certifications in S/4HANA Finance, Group Reporting, and SAC preferred.
• Hands‑on and proven experience in current roles on SAP FICO, S4 HANA, SAP Group Reporting, and SAP Analytics Cloud highly preferred.
• Experience upgrading from Oracle EPM Suite to SAP S4 HANA Group Reporting and SAC highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes across Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash.
• Demonstrated experience leading global implementations and managing multi‑geo teams from a Finance perspective.

Skills & Competencies

• Deep functional and technical experience in SAP ECC and S/4HANA FICO modules.
• Proven experience in Group Reporting and transitioning from legacy systems (highly preferred Oracle EPM) to S4 HANA Group Reporting.
• In-depth experience in Group Reporting, including Consolidation Process Knowledge, legal and management consolidation, intercompany eliminations, currency translation, data models, data monitor, consolidation monitor, and ownership tasks.
• Strong skills in interpreting financial data and troubleshooting consolidation issues.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex workflows.
• Experience leading S4 HANA implementations, upgrades, especially in Group Reporting and finance transformation contexts.
• Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with third‑party integrations preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP security, WRICEF development, and testing frameworks.
• Preferred candidate is on-site at Agilent’s Little Falls site in Delaware.

Additional Details

This is a full‑time role with a weekly schedule. Remote work is an option.

The full‑time equivalent pay range for this position is $106,720.00–$175,088.00 /yr CAD in Canada, or $116,800.00–$195,275.00 /yr USD in the US, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits. Pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
