MAKING AN IMPACT
Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships, the Director, Corporate Partnerships, Western Region & National New Business Development is accountable for leading corporate partnership growth in the Western Region while leading the identification, acquisition, and development of new national corporate partnerships. This role is responsible for achieving regional revenue targets, securing new national revenue opportunities, managing portfolio performance, and building a sustainable prospect pipeline that supports CCS's strategic priorities and long-term growth objectives.
The successful candidate is a strategic relationship builder, proactive business developer, and revenue driver who can expand CCS’s corporate revenue base at both the regional and national levels. With seasoned knowledge of the corporate sector and experience securing large-scale revenue opportunities, the Director, Corporate Partnerships Western Region & National New Business Development will grow and steward corporate relationships in the Western Region, proactively pursuing new national corporate partnerships, build a substantial prospect pipeline, and work in partnership across CCS to develop innovative strategies that mobilize internal and external communities in accessible, engaging, and effective ways.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and Grow Corporate Partnerships in Western Regions
- Provide strategic leadership for the Western Region corporate partnerships portfolio by developing and executing a regional growth strategy, informed by market analysis, corporate trends, revenue performance, and partnership opportunities.
- Partner with the Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships and VP, Partnerships, establish regional priorities and drive partner acquisition, portfolio growth, retention, and revenue performance to achieve CCS's strategic and financial objectives.
- Lead corporate partnership growth across the Western Region by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and securing new partnerships while stewarding existing partners to increase retention, investment, and long-term engagement.
- Manage, steward, and grow a portfolio of corporate partners through exceptional relationship management, contract renewals, and the identification of growth opportunities that increase partner investment and engagement.
- Drive sponsorship, table sales, and partnership revenue for the annual BC Daffodil Ball.
- Analyze portfolio performance and review existing partner relationships to identify risk, growth opportunities, and strategies to maximize revenue and engagement.
- Responsible for the development and delivery of compelling proposals, presentations, stewardship reports, and impact updates that clearly demonstrate measurable outcomes and mutual value for corporate partners.
- Lead the onboarding, execution, and ongoing management of corporate partnership agreements, programs, and events, ensuring contractual commitments and deliverables are fulfilled. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage organizational assets, enhance partner engagement, and achieve revenue goals.
- Stay informed on industry trends, business developments, and emerging opportunities that may impact or benefit corporate partnerships.
- Lead National New Business Development
- Provide strategic leadership for national corporate new business development by developing and executing a growth strategy informed by market analysis, corporate sector trends, revenue opportunities, and competitive intelligence.
- Partner with the Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships and Executive Director, Quebec Partnerships, establish national business development priorities, identify high-value partnership opportunities across key sectors and markets, and drive partner acquisition, pipeline growth, and revenue performance to achieve CCS's strategic and financial objectives.
- Build and grow a substantial national pipeline of prospective corporate partners, applying disciplined moves management practices to advance high-value prospects from identification through cultivation, solicitation, negotiation, and close.
- Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue high-value corporate partnership opportunities across Canada, including sponsorship, cause marketing, employee engagement, corporate philanthropy, gift-in-kind, and multi-year strategic partnerships.
- Lead discovery conversations with prospective partners to understand business objectives, CSR priorities, employee engagement goals and brand alignment opportunities, translating insights into compelling partnership concepts.
- Responsible for the creation of tailored proposals, pitch materials, and presentations that clearly articulate the value of partnering with CCS and demonstrate strong alignment between partner objectives and CCS priorities.
- Negotiate partnership agreements, sponsorship benefits, and revenue commitments in alignment with CCS policies, financial objectives, risk considerations, and organizational priorities.
- Represent CCS at industry events, sector forums, conferences and corporate engagement opportunities to build visibility, generate leads and strengthen the national prospect pipeline.
- Monitor market trends, corporate social responsibility priorities and competitor activity to identify emerging opportunities and inform national business development strategies.
- Strategic Leadership and Team Development & Engagement
- Provide strategic direction and supervision to direct reports, ensuring alignment of priorities, resources, and efforts to maximize revenue performance.
- Build and mentor a high-performing, inclusive and collaborative team culture that fosters innovation, recognition, and professional development while maximizing individual and team effectiveness.
- Conduct regular coaching, development, and performance conversations to support employee growth, strengthen accountability, remove barriers, optimize portfolio performance, and ensure consistent adherence to organizational policies, corporate partnerships processes, moves management practices, and departmental standards.
- Monitor revenue performance, pipeline health, portfolio growth plans, and key performance indicators across team portfolios, proactively identifying risks and opportunities and coaching team members to achieve revenue targets.
- Inspire confidence, enthusiasm, and high performance in others while providing appropriate recognition; coach individuals and the team and complete the performance review process in line with Team People designated processes and procedures.
- In conjunction with Team People, hire, orient, and manage team members through effective coaching, performance management, recognition, and development
- Ensure that hiring practices are inclusive.
- Encourage growth and development opportunities for all team members.
- Operations, Planning and Financial Management
- Contribute to the development and execution of CCS’s national corporate partnerships strategy through accurate forecasting, timely reporting, and disciplined tracking through Salesforce and other organizational systems.
- Partner with the Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships and VP, Partnerships, oversee budget and expense management, revenue performance, forecasting, and pipeline health across the Western Region and national new business portfolio, proactively identifying risks and growth opportunities and implementing strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards, including data governance, privacy, financial controls, contract management, and discretionary requirements.
- Ensure the effective use of Salesforce and related systems to support portfolio management, pipeline development, forecasting accuracy, performance reporting, and decision-making.
- Follows all guidelines established by national leadership including, Marketing, Communications, Digital Support, Finance, Team People, IT and others.

Qualifications
- Post-secondary education such as acquiring a college diploma, as well as specialized technical/professional training and/or certification, or equivalent.
- Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in corporate partnerships, business development, sales, account management, or fundraising roles, including at least five years in a leadership or management role.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing new business growth strategies, building and managing a substantial prospect pipeline, and achieving annual new business revenue targets exceeding $2-3 million.
- Experience assessing markets, identifying growth opportunities, and developing regional or national business development strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth and long-term portfolio value.
- Senior-level experience developing, soliciting, and negotiating a broad range of national and regional corporate partnerships, including sponsorship, cause marketing, employee engagement, workplace giving, corporate philanthropy, gift-in-kind, and multi-year strategic partnerships.
- Proven success securing corporate support for large-scale fundraising initiatives, signature events and mission-led programs.
- Strong business development, sales, strategic planning, and negotiation skills, with the ability to identify high-value prospects, advance opportunities through a disciplined pipeline, and close complex revenue-generating partnerships.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior executives, corporate leaders, and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams through a collaborative, solutions-focused management approach.
- Strong financial, analytical skills and business management skills, including budget and expense management, revenue forecasting, pipeline analysis, performance monitoring, and translating insights into actionable growth strategies and business decisions.
- Excellent judgment, problem-solving, diplomacy, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex partner and internal relationships effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience using CRM systems to manage prospect pipelines, forecasting, and relationship activity; Salesforce experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and proven ability to manage multiple complex priorities and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel within Canada and possess a valid driver's license, work occasional evenings and weekends to support events, partner activities, and organizational priorities.
- English is required; French/Bilingualism (French /English) is an asset due to the organization’s nationwide operations.
