Lead the Future of Veterinary Medicine in Western Canada

Are you a veterinary leader with a passion for mentoring, advancing patient care, and shaping the future of a profession? At VetCare, we believe great veterinary medicine is built on collaboration, innovation, and exceptional leadership. As our Regional Medical Director for Western Canada, you won’t just oversee hospitals, you’ll partner with talented teams to elevate care, coach the next generation of veterinarians, and set the standard for excellence across the region.

This is a rare opportunity to combine hands-on clinical practice, strategic influence, and operational insight, making a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of pets, their families, and the professionals who care for them. If you want a role where your leadership is respected, your ideas shape practice standards, and your mentorship makes a difference every day, this is the position for you.

About the Role

The Regional Medical Director plays a pivotal role in advancing veterinary medical excellence across a group of hospitals in Western Canada. This is a unique opportunity to combine clinical expertise, operational insight, and strategic influence to support teams, elevate standards of care, and shape the future of veterinary medicine in the region.

Working closely with the National Medical Director and Regional Operations leadership, you will serve as a trusted advisor, mentor, and hands-on leader. This will include coaching DVMs, supporting clinic operations, and helping hospitals deliver exceptional patient care while achieving sustainable results.

This role balances clinical practice (3 days per week) with regional leadership responsibilities, enabling you to stay connected to patients and teams while making a meaningful, lasting impact.

Why This Role Matters

You will work alongside experienced medical and operational leaders who believe great veterinary medicine is built through collaboration, trust, and continuous learning. For veterinarians passionate about leadership and peer support, this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact.

Reality of the Role
