Referment is working with an established B2B events and insights business seeking a Sales Director who combines expert enterprise selling skills with a proven track record of building and developing successful commercial teams from the ground up.
The company connects solution providers with senior decision-makers at medium and large enterprises through a regular programme of business events. You will drive new business by selling sponsorship opportunities that help clients reach relevant buyers.
We’re interested in experienced B2B SaaS sales professionals from marketing software, customer data, CRM and sales technology, bringing a disciplined approach to enterprise sales and a demonstrable record of closing high-value business.
The opportunity
This is a hands-on commercial role. You will be expected to win business personally, establish a strong performance record and lead the creation of the foundations for further team growth. Experience in high-growth scale-up environments and international market expansion, particularly across the UK and US, is highly valued.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Developing and closing new enterprise sponsorship opportunities.
- Building and leading sales functions from scratch, with the ability to scale teams effectively.
- Building relationships with senior stakeholders and understanding their commercial objectives.
- Leading proposals, negotiations and the full sales process.
- Bringing rigour to qualification, pipeline management and forecasting.
- Supporting the development of a repeatable sales approach and driving revenue growth.
Your background
You must have substantial B2B SaaS sales experience selling to medium and large enterprises, with clear evidence of personal closing success on large-scale contracts. You will be required to discuss your granular performance data in detail, including quota attainment, deal sizes, conversion rates, and sales cycles.
Mastery of sales methodologies, specifically MEDDIC, is essential for this role. Additional experience with frameworks such as SPIN, Challenger selling, or Great Demo! is also preferred. You will bring the credibility to engage senior buyers and the discipline to turn opportunities into revenue.
