Manager (Calgary)
Alberta Health Services
Caring for nearly 220,000 patients each year, Rockyview General Hospital provides a full range of acute and outpatient services with more than 600 inpatient beds. Located in Southwest Calgary and overlooking the scenic shores of the Glenmore Reservoir, the hospital offers an agile and collaborative environment dedicated to exceptional patient care.
As the Unit Manager, you will provide operational and people leadership for one of Alberta's busiest surgical programs. Key responsibilities include hiring, orienting, supervising, coaching, and evaluating staff; supporting professional development; managing performance; and applying human‑resource practices and collective agreements. You will support surgical flow, optimize operating‑room utilization, and ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, evidence‑informed care in collaboration with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams. You will lead the implementation of standards of practice, quality and safety initiatives, change‑management strategies, and process improvements that enhance patient outcomes, staff engagement, and operational performance.
