Senior Manager, Economics Advisory (Montreal)

The Opportunity

EY has an industry‑leading EY‑Parthenon Practice that helps clients determine the right deal and assists them in doing the deal right. We serve clients worldwide with a broad scope of engagements, mentorship and formal learning to develop outstanding leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze economic and financial data, market trends, and industry reports to design, develop, and construct economic models.
• Apply econometric and statistical techniques to build valuation and risk assessment models, quantify economic damages, and support decision‑making processes.
• Use models for operations and strategic planning, project finance, mergers and acquisitions, tax, financial reporting, valuations, and litigation matters.
• Build and strengthen client relationships through business development activities and internal collaboration.
• Lead and serve as a member of multiple client engagement teams.
• Identify issues and propose solutions and actively contribute to report writing and detailed economic analyses.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in economics, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of prior experience or a PhD in economics, finance, mathematics or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of prior experience in economic consulting with an emphasis on cost‑benefit analysis, economic impact assessments, econometric modelling and forecasting, and policy and program analysis and design.
• Expertise in MS Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency with EViews, STATA, R, and MATLAB.
• Ability to interact with clients operating nationally and globally; bilingualism in French and English is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming experience in languages such as VBA or C++ is an asset.
