Course description: An introduction to a wide range of topics situated in modernism, postmodernism, and the contemporary that inform current art practice and critical discourse. The course investigates post-1970 art practice through diverse societal, cultural, and political influences of contemporary critical thought.

Sessional Lecturer III: $ 10,953.96
Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $ 11,228.90

Minimum qualifications : MA or MFA (or equivalent graduate degree) required with previous teaching experience. Strong exhibition history and currently exhibiting artist; strong writing and publishing record in the field of Contemporary Art, Applicants may be asked to supply references.
Preferred qualifications : Internationally recognized practice. Experience teaching art and students from other disciplines.
Description of duties : Preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials and platform, supervision of teaching assistants; preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours.
