Remote Atlantic Regional Manager
$65k - $75k per yearTeam Rubicon Canada
Posting Closing Date: 28 February 2026
Vacancy status: This posting is for a new position .
Team Rubicon Canada (TR Canada) is a veteran-led humanitarian organization, built to serve global communities before, during, and after disasters and crises. Our people, known as Greyshirts, are the cornerstone of our mission and success. We are committed to fostering an environment that embodies the principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI&B)—inclusive of beliefs, cultural backgrounds, job experiences, thoughts, and ideas—across all aspects of our operations.
We are seeking an Atlantic Regional Manager to lead Team Rubicon Canada’s regional operations across Newfoundland and Labrador and the wider Atlantic Region. In this role, you’ll support the administrative, operational, and program activities that keep our region mission‑ready. Working closely with volunteer leaders, community partners, and regional stakeholders, you’ll build sustainable capacity through strong relationships, volunteer engagement, training delivery, and coordinated programming.
Reporting to the Director of Field Operations, you’ll support year‑round readiness, resilience, and growth by contributing to operational planning, deployments, recruitment, training, service projects, and membership development. This is a dynamic, hands‑on role that supports both preparedness and response. If it sounds like a bit of everything, you’re right! The right person is a strong communicator, a reliable planner, and a relationship‑builder who thrives in a collaborative, mission‑driven environment. Every day brings new challenges, and every response is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
This position is remote, with occasional travel required, including overnight travel mainly within the Atlantic Region of Canada and, at times across North America.
Duties :
- Lead regional operational planning and readiness to ensure volunteers, partners, and teams are prepared for year‑round programming and disaster response across the Atlantic Region.
- Coordinate training and volunteer readiness activities, including logistics, scheduling, and alignment with national standards, to strengthen regional capacity and deployment readiness.
- Support disaster response operations by coordinating local logistics, maintaining situational awareness, and working closely with Provincial Administrators, field leadership, and external partners during deployments.
- Plan and support community service and mitigation projects that build resilience, engage volunteers, and strengthen relationships with local partners throughout the year.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with emergency management agencies, Indigenous communities, NGOs, community organizations, and institutional partners across the Atlantic Region.
- Lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention to grow a skilled, reliable, and veteran‑inclusive volunteer base across Newfoundland and Labrador and the Atlantic Region.
- Provide guidance and operational support to Provincial Administrators and volunteer leaders, ensuring consistent practices, effective communication, and smooth regional operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Background
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in program management, humanitarian or emergency response, volunteer engagement, regional operations, or nonprofit leadership.
- Experience working in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments, including collaboration with community partners, emergency management organizations, and cross‑functional internal teams.
- Demonstrated experience supporting volunteer‑led programs, including recruitment, onboarding, training coordination, or leadership development.
- Strong operational, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced, evolving environments.
- Proven relationship‑building and communication skills, with experience engaging volunteers, partners, and internal stakeholders in a collaborative and inclusive manner.
- Experience supporting data tracking, reporting, or evaluation of regional activities, including the use of systems or tools to demonstrate impact and support operational decision‑making.
- Experience working with or alongside veterans, first responders, or service‑based communities is considered a strong asset.
Job Type:
- Full-time, Salary
- Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000
Special Requirements :
• Military veterans strongly encouraged to apply.
• Access to a stable internet connection for remote work.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Participation in disaster response operations and field support activities, as required.
• Must be comfortable working in austere conditions when required.
• Fluency in Canada’s Official Languages an asset.

- Step into the Arena : TR Canada needs leaders who dare to be great.
- Everyone Has a Role; Know It : As teammates, we aspire to work in harmony toward achieving a higher goal than any one of us could accomplish on our own.
- GSD : We are entrepreneurial, resourceful, and determined, no matter how chaotic the situation.
