Your mission as Director of OHS and Health and Well-Being

In collaboration with the HR & OHS Vice-President, you will act as a strategic leader to promote a culture of prevention, accountability and operational excellence throughout the organization.

You will support managers and teams in proactive risk management, while ensuring the mobilization and development of the OHS team.

More Specifically, As Director Of OHS And Health And Well-Being, You Will Actively Contribute To Changing The Organization's OHS Culture By

Leadership and OHS culture

• Define and deploy the organization's OHS and wellness vision;
• Promote a culture of prevention, accountability and continuous improvement;
• Support managers in the integration of good OHS practices.

Risk Management and Operational Excellence

• Structure and optimize OHS programs, policies and procedures;
• Ensure the identification and proactive management of risks;
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action plans;
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in OHS.

Mobilization and presence on the ground

• Develop initiatives to promote employee engagement in OHS;
• Maintain an active field presence with teams and managers;
• Strengthen the safety culture through communication and awareness.

Team Management

• Supervise, mobilize and develop the OHS team;
• Prioritize actions according to operational needs;
• Foster a collaborative, results-oriented approach.

Mental Health & Wellness

• Develop and promote initiatives that promote overall health, well-being and work-life balance;
• Raise awareness among managers and teams of the importance of psychological health;
• Contribute to creating a healthy, mobilizing and caring work environment.

The profile that will allow you to succeed as a Director of OHS and Health and Well-Being:

• You have a university education in a relevant field (industrial relations, operations management, human resources or other related field);
• You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in occupational health and safety;
• You have significant experience in team management and coaching managers;
• You have worked in multi-operational environments such as transportation, manufacturing, distribution or hazardous materials;
• You have a solid background in OHS culture development and change management;
• You are proficient in OHS laws and regulations in provincial and federal contexts;
• You are recognized for your leadership, managerial courage and ability to influence;
• You are autonomous, rigorous and have an excellent analytical mind;
• You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• You are bilingual (French and English, spoken and written).
