Gerrand Rath Johnson LLP is seeking a Court Runner/File Clerk for full time work. The candidate should be professional, friendly, have a positive attitude, possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Computer knowledge of Word and Excel are necessary. A high level of confidentiality must be always maintained in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling Documents: Picking up and delivering of documents to and from the Courthouse, law firms, banks and downtown businesses on foot, multiple times daily.
- Court Filings/Organization: Assisting with general administrative tasks around the office, including filing, copying and binding. Ensuring work is properly prepared.
- General Office Support: Covering reception duties as needed, including greeting clients, answering a multi-line phone system and directing calls appropriately. Answering general inquiries, accepting payment from clients, handling and maintaining a log of incoming and outgoing mail and courier deliveries/pickups.
- Communication: Actively and efficiently communicate with all staff to ensure all delivery instructions are clear.
Qualifications
· Professional and friendly demeanor with positive attitude.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Some lifting and use of stairs are required.
