Travailleuse sociale auprès des victimes/survivants(es) de la traite de la personne
Un (1) contrat d'un an à temps plein (35 heures / semaine), avec possibilité de renouvellement
Lieu de travail : Hamilton 
Salaire annuel : 63 099 $ à 76 695 $ (baccalauréat), Excellents avantages sociaux, incluant fonds de pension HOOPP

Sous l’autorité de la Directrice des Services spécialisés et la Coordonnatrice de l’Équipe contre la violence faite aux femme (CVFF) et en tant que membre de l’équipe multidisciplinaire du CSCHN, la psychothérapeute/conseillère intervient toujours en fonction des principes de promotion de la santé et des déterminants de la santé pour assurer les services d’intervention en counseling auprès des victimes et/ou survivants de la traite des personnes ainsi que des services directs aux victimes de violence sous toutes ses formes.

Responsabilités spécifiques

  • Travailler dans le cadre d'une approche antiraciste, anti‐oppression, culturellement et linguistiquement appropriée
  • Traiter les demandes du programme selon les procédures établies
  • Dépister les forces et les besoins des victimes et des survivants ainsi que leurs proches
  • Évaluer la sécurité des victimes/survivants de la traite des personnes
  • Préparer des plans de service pour les clients basés sur leurs forces et leurs besoins
  • Fournir des services de counseling, individuel et de groupe aux victimes de la traite des personnes en collaboration avec l’équipe CVFF
  • Réaliser des présentations de cas ȧ l'équipe CVFF avec la gestionnaire clinique selon les procédures
  • Consulter la gestionnaire clinique lors de la période de probation et selon les exigences de l’ordre professionnel
  • Assurer que toutes les interventions des clients soient évaluées suite à la fermeture d’un dossier et que les résultats soient notés dans le dossier
  • Assurer qu’un plan de service soit développé et revu régulièrement
  • Livrer des programmes de psychoéducation suite aux demandes reçues
  • Aiguiller les familles/jeunes aux services spécialisés au besoin
  • Développer et animer des groupes thérapeutiques et de soutien pour les victimes et/ou les survivants ainsi que leurs proches
  • Préparer des rapports et assurer la tenue des dossiers
  • Participer aux évaluations par les pairs
  • Tenir des statistiques sur les programmes à des fins d’évaluation
  • Se concentrer sur le soutien aux victimes et survivants de la traite des personnes qui sont difficiles à rejoindre et qui éprouvent des difficultés avec les déterminants de la santé. Cela inclut les personnes vulnérables à risque et celles qui ont des besoins complexes dans plusieurs aspects
  • Accompagner les victimes et/ou les survivants dans l’identification de leurs besoins et dans l’atteinte de leurs objectifs et moyens individuels pour améliorer leurs situations personnelles et socio‐économiques
  • Aiguiller les victimes et/ou les survivants vers des services appropriés, ainsi que faire la liaison avec des agences
    communautaires
  • Développer des ressources promotionnels et éducationnels contre la traite des personnes
  • Collaborer avec les ressources existantes pour garantir la qualité dans les services fournis
  • Travailler en collaboration avec l’équipe CVFF tout en prenant en compte les déterminants sociaux de la santé
  • Aider les clients à développer leurs compétences de base (améliorer leur bien‐être physique, social et mental la santé et le bien‐être, la communication et la résolution de problèmes) et les aider à développer leurs compétences de vie autonome (c'est‐à‐dire, trouver et gérer un logement, prendre et assister à des rendez‐vous
  • Accomplir tout autre travail connexe au besoin

Connaissances techniques requises

  • Connaissance/Compréhension des enjeux et des défis des services en français en milieu minoritaire
  • Connaissance de la réalité de la violence envers le genre et la problématique de la traite des personnes
  • Connaissance de l’approche féministe contre la violence faite aux femmes
  • Capacité de gérer des situations complexes et de crise
  • Connaissance dans la sensibilisation du public et dans la planification d’activités
  • Connaissance des stratégies dans la lutte contre la traite des personnes en Ontario

Qualifications et autres exigences

  • Maîtrise de l'anglais et du français à l’oral et à l’écrit
  • Baccalauréat en travail social ou autres domaines connexes obtenue dans une institution reconnue
  • Être membre en règle avec l'ordre des travailleurs sociaux (OTSTTSO) ou des psychothérapeutes (OPAO) de l'Ontario ou en processus de le devenir
  • Avoir une connaissance approfondie des services et des réseaux communautaires existants
  • Démontrer une croyance manifeste dans la mission, la vision et les valeurs du CSCHN
  • Posséder au moins deux (2) ans d'expérience de travail dans les services à la personne, ainsi qu'une compréhension et une croyance dans les capacités des personnes ayant des défis en santé mentale et de problèmes sanitaires et sociaux complexes
  • Être titulaire d'un diplôme en services à la personne ou dans un domaine connexe
  • Bon sens organisationnel, de la communication et de l’éthique
  • Ouverture d’esprit et preuve de respect face aux mœurs d’autres cultures
  • Faire preuve d’autonomie, d’entregent et de créativité
  • Bonne connaissances et expérience en matière de santé mentale, de toxicomanie et de pratiques culturelles autochtones sont des atouts, tout comme l’expérience vécue
  • S'engager auprès des populations mal desservies et difficiles à rejoindre
  • Être capable de travailler de manière indépendante et être à l'aise dans une équipe multidisciplinaire
  • Être disponible pour travailler les jours, les soirs et les fins de semaine selon les besoins et rester flexible pour travailler après les heures de travail
  • Un certificat valide de premiers secours et RCR serait un atout
  • Posséder un permis de conduire valide et avoir accès un véhicule automobile avec la preuve d'une assurance appropriée
  • Fournir une vérification d’antécédents judiciaires, incluant la recherche sur le secteur vulnérable
  • Une preuve de vaccination contre la COVID-19 (ou un billet médical pour une exemption) sera demandée  au moment de l’embauche

Social Worker for Victims/Survivors of Human Trafficking
One (1) year Full‐time contract position (35 hours /week), with possibility of renewal
Location: Hamilton 
Annual salary: $63 099 ‐ $ 76 695 (Bachelor’s degree);  Excellent benefits, including HOOPP pension plan

The Psychotherapist /Counsellor reports to the Specialized Services Director and the Coordinator of the Violence against Women (VAW) team. As a member of CSCHN's multidisciplinary team, she always intervenes according to the principles of health promotion and the determinants of health to provide counselling intervention services to victims and/or survivors of human trafficking as well as direct services to victims of violence in all its forms.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Work within an anti‐racism, anti‐oppression, culturally and linguistically appropriate approach
  • Process program applications according to established procedures
  • Identify the strengths and needs of victims and survivors and their families
  • Assess the safety of victims/survivors of human trafficking
  • Prepare service plans for clients based on their strengths and needs
  • Provide individual and group counseling to victims of human trafficking in collaboration with the VAW team
  • Facilitate presentations to the VAW team with the clinical manager according to procedures
  • Consult with the clinical manager during the probation period and according to the requirements of the professional college
  • Ensure that all client interventions are evaluated and that the results are noted in their file
  • Ensure that a service plan is developed and reviewed regularly
  • Deliver psychoeducational programs in response to requests received
  • Refer families/youth to specialized services as needed
  • Develop and facilitate therapeutic and support groups for victims and/or survivors and their families.
  • Organize workshops and activities aimed at raising awareness on issues related to human trafficking
  • Prepares reports and maintains records
  • Participate in peer review initiatives
  • Maintain program statistics for evaluation purposes
  • Focus on supporting victims and/or survivors of human trafficking who are hard to reach and struggling with the determinants of health. This includes vulnerable people at risk and those with complex needs in a many ways
  • Encourage victims and/or survivors in identifying their needs and in achieving their individual goals and means to improve their personal and socioeconomic situations
  • Provide referrals of victims and/or survivors to appropriate services and ensure liaisons with community agencies
  • Develop promotional and educational resources against human trafficking
  • Collaborate with existing resources to ensure quality in the services provided
  • Work in collaboration with the VAW team while considering the social determinants of health
  • Assist clients in developing basic skills (i.e., improving physical, social and mental health and wellbeing, communication and problem solving) and helping them develop independent living skills (i.e., finding and managing housing, making and attending appointments)
  • Performs all other related work as assigned or required

Required Technical Knowledge

  • Knowledge/Understanding of the issues and challenges of French language services in a minority setting
  • Knowledge of the reality of gender violence and the issues of human trafficking
  • Knowledge of the feminist approach to violence against women
  • Ability to manage complex and crisis situations
  • Knowledge in public awareness and event planning
  • Knowledge of strategies implemented by the government of Ontario related to human trafficking

Qualifications and Other Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related fields from a recognized institution
  • Be a member in good standing or in the process of becoming a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
  • Excellent knowledge of oral and written French and English
  • Have extensive knowledge of existing community services and networks
  • Show a demonstrated belief in CSCHN’s mission, vision, and values
  • Possess at least two (2) years’ experience working in human services, as well as an understanding and belief in the abilities of individuals afflicted with mental health and complex health and social issues
  • Knowledge and experience in mental health, addictions and Indigenous cultural practices are assets as well as bilingualism and lived experience
  • Good organizational, communication and ethical sense
  • Open‐mindedness and respectful to other cultures
  • Demonstrate autonomy, interpersonal skills and creativity
  • Be committed to engaging with difficult to reach and underserved populations
  • Demonstrate strong aptitude for creativity and out‐of‐the box thinking and willingness to explore new and unique ways of service delivery
  • Be skilled at working independently and be comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Be available to work days, evenings and weekends as required, and remain flexible to work after hours
  • A valid First Aid & CPR certificate would be an asset

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Be willing to work flexible hours to meet patient needs
  • Have access to a motor vehicle and hold a valid Ontario driver's license
  • Provide a clean Police Vulnerable Person Criminal Record Check (PVSC)
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (or medical ticket for exemption) will be requested at the time of hiring
