DairyComp Technical Support Specialist

Lactanet’s DairyComp herd management software supports many of Canada’s large and progressive dairy producers. We are looking for someone with passion for technology and strong computer skills to compliment their dairy production knowledge in this key role. Your responsibilities will include complex software systems, installations and data setup for key accounts across the country.

As the Technical Support Specialist, you will also provide training and advanced technical support for the DairyComp support team and act as the primary contact with our herd management software provider. The role will also include collaboration with milking equipment manufacturers to support sensor integration solutions.

Position Overview

Key Account Support

• Provide dedicated solutions for our key national accounts with a personal touch.
• Lead the implementation and support of specialized or non-standard products including sensors, parlours, robots and mobile applications.
• Support custom data mining, data project setup, and comprehensive herd data reviews.

Advanced Integrations and Troubleshooting

• Resolve complex on-farm technical software and hardware challenges.
• Work directly with equipment dealers to resolve software integration issues.
• Support our internal data movement process with timely resolutions.

Manage our Product Supplier Relationship

• Serve as the primary contact with our software supplier for technical issues.
• Collaborate in the troubleshooting of unresolved deep-level software issues.

Team Support and Development

• Provide ongoing technical training and follow-up for our front-line support team

This position is primarily office-based, with some national travel required to meet with key accounts and attend industry events. The location for this position is Guelph, Ontario.

• Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or another relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced technical fluency with DairyComp or similar dairy software platforms.
• Proven experience troubleshooting complex data pipelines and hardware integrations, including RFID readers, feed management systems, parlour sensor technology, and on-farm networks.
• Strong organizational skills, self-discipline, and a collaborative team mindset.
• Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.
