Senior Effects Technical Director with Houdini Proficiency

Transform animation projects as a Senior Effects Technical Director. Leverage Houdini skills to create stunning FX elements and dynamic simulations in a flexible work environment. This role focuses on independently crafting a diverse array of FX elements that shape project aesthetics. You will coordinate with other departments, mentor junior artists, and ensure precise time management for shot work. Your strong visual storytelling skills will elevate overall animation quality. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop FX and simulations
- Light and manage complex shots efficiently
- Provide time estimates for project milestones
- Mentor and guide junior artists
- Engage in presentations during daily reviews
- At least 5 years of professional VFX experience or 7 years without formal education
- Strong knowledge of Houdini and Python
- Excellent aesthetic judgment and communication
- Basic familiarity with Nuke advantageous
- Good knowledge of physics concepts
