Explore this exciting Accountant /Accounting Manager opportunity with our Client, Taylor Volkswagen, as a result of an upcoming retirement. Reporting to the General Manager and leading a team of 2 Accounting Clerks, you will provide full cycle accounting, financial analysis and reporting for this reputable dealership located in East Regina. Responsibilities include:- Provide full-cycle financial accounting including A/P, A/R, journal entries, bank/credit card reconciliations and reporting.
- Provide leadership and coach the Accounting Clerks, instilling a motivated and positive work team. Ensure organizational ethics and values are intact and lived within the workplace.
- Prepare / process and submit government remittances including GST, PST and payroll source deductions and regulatory filings.
- Compile financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely reports to stakeholders.
- Assess, track and process product sales and service documents.
- Assist with accounting cashflow, insurance and budgeting.
- Coordinate required payroll documents and information for processing. You will bring:
- Degree/Diploma in Financial Accounting and/or Business Administration is preferred. CPA designation is an asset.
- Proficiency in full cycle accounting utilizing accounting software programs. Experience in a product sales/service work environment is an asset.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.
