Emerald Plastics is a Regina-based manufacturer expanding into the U.S. Were hiring an Accounting Assistant to support the day-to-day books across our group of companies.
What youll do
Enter and code AP invoices, expenses, and credit card transactions in QuickBooks Online
Prepare and send customer invoices; follow up on AR and post payments
Reconcile bank, credit card, and merchant accounts monthly
Assist with GST/PST filings and CRA remittances
Maintain organized digital records in Google Drive
Support payroll data entry and month-end close
Cross-check freight, shipping, and production paperwork against invoices
Back up the office on general admin tasks as needed
What were looking for
5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience
Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (required)
Comfortable in Google Sheets and Google Drive
Solid understanding of GST, PST, and basic Canadian bookkeeping
Accurate, detail-oriented, and able to keep multiple company files straight
Post-secondary in accounting, business, or a related field is an asset
Legally able to work in Canada
