Instructor, Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Operator Instructor to teach and mentor students in the Heavy Equipment Operator program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Heavy Equipment Operating and the ability to effectively communicate and engage students.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Deliver hands-on fieldwork training and instruction.
Prepare and facilitate training on up to five different types of heavy equipment, focusing on novice to intermediate skill levels.
Effectively communicate and transfer knowledge to learners with diverse learning styles and language skills.
Offer timely and constructive feedback, maintaining the integrity of learning outcomes while supporting student success.
Collaborate as an internal expert on program initiatives, including marketing and student support efforts.

Qualifications:
High school diploma (Grade 12) with supervisory experience.
At least five years of experience operating a variety of heavy equipment, including Dozers, Excavators, Graders, Rubber Tire Hoes, and Skid Steers, with a minimum of 2000 hours on each type.
Class 1A Driver's License.
Proven and verifiable safety record.
