Above and Beyond Autism Consulting Services (ABACS) is committed to enhancing the lives of children with autism by providing an enriching, positive environment that supports each child in reaching their full potential. Our mission is to be a leader in delivering evidence-based services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), while maintaining a fun, safe, and nurturing program tailored to each child's individual needs. ABACS is currently seeking dynamic, energetic, and compassionate individuals for the role of Instructor Therapist (IT), where you will have the opportunity to work directly with children with autism, delivering one-on-one (and sometimes small group) individualized programming in a centre-based setting. This position is funded through a government program (Canada Summer Jobs), which creates summer job opportunities for youth; Therefore, eligible applicants for this position must be 1530 years old at the start of employment, legally allowed to work in Canada, and have a valid Social Insurance Number. Applicants must also be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons/refugees. International students and individuals with temporary visas or pending refugee claims are not eligible. Successfully complete the mandatory Training requirements Qualifications:Previous experience is an asset
Hold or working towards a degree, diploma/certificate in a related field such as Psychology, Education, Early Childhood Education, Kinesiology, Social Work, etc.
Must be outgoing, energetic, enthusiastic, possess strong organizational skills, and be ready for a challenge
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check Start Date: As soon as possible Must be available within ABACS operating hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM).
