Job Responsibility:

POSITION: Inventory Control

STATUS: Full Time

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

As a key member of the Inventory Team, the Inventory Control Associate is responsible for keeping track of inventory controls & replenishment changes in the system. In this capacity, as Inventory Control Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring all inventory data is up to date, accurate and reflective of current inventory levels so to ensue that optimal inventory is present and ready for use.

In this capacity, you will work alongside a team of seasoned Inventory Control Associates in keeping detailed records of any changes in inventory or production and report these changes within a multidisciplinary environment on a periodic basis in line with the Company's cycle count provisions. In addition, in this capacity, as an Inventory Control Associate, you will inspect products and take note of any damaged or defective products and advise on non-conformities with receiving and the vendor

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Plan every activity that relates to inventory control in the organization or warehouse environment
• Develop and implement procedures for ensuring that adequate inventory levels are present.
• Compile inventory information and present it to management for effective decision making, which may include the need for restock.
• Review balance of inventory and count the items in stock.
• Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems immediately related to inventory level discrepancies.
• Identify and optimize common inventory items.
• Ensures that inventory counts are completed regularly and in a timely manner.
• Audit the facilities entire inventory on a regular basis and provide reports to management.
• Trains other employees in cycle counting and inventory control.
• File claims with manufacturers or sellers when defective goods are found in the inventory.
• Instructs others on how and where to return defective goods.
• Compile reports and maintain detailed and accurate records of changes of any inventory in Warehouse Management System (“WHMS”) which allows the Company to keep track of supply and demand over long periods of time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is an asset.
• Experience ideally working for mid to large size companies.
• Experience using inventory management software.
• Experience with RF Scanners and barcode systems.
• Attention to detail - Ensuring accuracy in inventory counts and product movements.
• Organizational skills - Being able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Problem-solving - Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.
• Data entry and management - Proficiency in updating and maintaining accurate records.
• Communication skills - Ability to communicate clearly with suppliers, vendors, and other team members.
• Basic math skills - For inventory counts, reporting, and analysis.
• Time management - Meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy in tasks.
• 2+ years experience operating the Order Picker
• 2+ years experience operating the Reach
• Ability to pull, push, lift up to 50lbs.
