Family Law Clerk – Downtown Toronto
Our client, a reputable 100+ person downtown law firm, is looking to add an experienced Family Law Clerk to its growing team.
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of family law experience and be confident handling a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, parenting, support, property, financial disclosure, and court-related processes.
This is a hybrid role with a well-established firm offering strong resources, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to work on sophisticated family law files.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and preparing court documents, financial statements, affidavits, disclosure briefs, and correspondence
- Managing deadlines, filings, and procedural steps in family law matters
- Assisting lawyers with file management, client communication, and document organization
- Preparing materials for conferences, motions, mediations, and trials
- Liaising with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of family law clerk experience
- Strong knowledge of Ontario family law procedure and court filings
- Excellent drafting, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to manage files independently and work in a fast-paced environment
