Marketing and Communications Coordinator Temporary (3 months)

Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Director of PR, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will provide daily support and be a contributing member of an extraordinary Communications Team. Here is the impact you’ll make and what we will accomplish together:

Marketing & Communications :

• Coordinate visiting media, making reservations and personalized itinerary details, arrange VIP amenities, update key staff
• Coordinate media packages for internal and external stakeholders for all events, partnerships and launches.
• Maintain media database with current contacts, while building new targeted media lists.
• Prepare monthly marketing and public relations reporting, alongside weekly media briefs, resumes and reports as requested.
• Provide regular departmental status updates and circulate communications meeting notes in a timely manner.
• Manage Marketing/PR file organization (photo naming, SharePoint docs, etc.)
• Provide administrative support to Director of Sales & Marketing, Director of Marketing and Director of Public Relations.
• Performs any and all other tasks which are assigned by management.
• Adhering to all Fairmont Hotels & Resorts sales standard and uphold the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times.

Design

• Support the design and production of customized menus using Adobe InDesign, with a strong focus on layout, typography, and brand consistency.
• Execute updates to Banquet Kits, ensuring all materials are accurate, visually cohesive, and aligned with brand standards.
• Produce and update flat sheets, brochures, and sales collateral with attention to detail, hierarchy, and print readiness.
• Maintain and update F&B menus, ensuring content accuracy while preserving a refined and consistent visual presentation.
• Assist with updates to venue websites, ensuring alignment with overall brand look and feel.
• Provide graphic design support for both in-house and external collateral, following established creative direction.
• Prepare presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint, ensuring clean, on-brand formatting and visual consistency.
• Support print production processes, including file setup (bleeds, trims, colour profiles), purchase orders and packaging of final artwork.

 

• A competitive salary starting at $60,000 depending on your skills and experience

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced luxury environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

The position of Porter is physically demanding and has a direct impact on the security of our employees and guests.  The successful applicant must be physically capable of performing repetitive work, as well as lifting and carrying heavy loads (average 50lbs). The successful applicant must be comfortable working the majority of the time outdoors in all elements.
