Position Description
CGI's Vancouver Salesforce practice is looking for a Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Expert / Developer to lead the design and delivery of sophisticated, data driven marketing solutions for our public sector, healthcare, and enterprise clients. You will be the go to technical authority on Marketing Cloud — architecting scalable customer journeys, building advanced personalization, and ensuring every campaign is measurable, compliant, and performant.
This is a hands on senior role for someone who loves both the craft of building in SFMC and the consulting work of translating business goals into elegant technical solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities
. Lead the end to end design and build of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio, and Cloud Pages.
. Develop dynamic, personalized content using AMPscript, Server Side JavaScript (SSJS), and Guide/Guided templates.
. Design and optimize the data architecture within SFMC — data extensions, data model relationships, and SQL query activities in Automation Studio.
. Build and manage integrations between Marketing Cloud and Sales/Service Cloud using Marketing Cloud Connect, and with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs and Marketing Cloud APIs.
. Implement subscriber preference management, consent, and data privacy controls in line with CASL, PIPA (BC), and PIPEDA requirements.
. Define and enforce deliverability best practices, sender authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), IP warming, and reputation monitoring.
. Establish reporting and analytics using Datorama / Marketing Cloud Intelligence, Discover, and native tracking to demonstrate campaign ROI.
. Mentor junior developers and marketing operations staff, conduct code reviews, and set SFMC development standards and reusable frameworks.
. Partner with clients and business stakeholders to gather requirements, run solution workshops, and present technical recommendations.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
. 7+ years of hands on experience delivering enterprise marketing technology solutions, with 4+ years focused specifically on Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
. Deep, demonstrable expertise in AMPscript, SSJS, and SQL as used within SFMC.
. Strong command of Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email/Mobile Studio, Contact Builder, and Cloud Pages.
. Proven experience with Marketing Cloud Connect and integrating SFMC with the wider Salesforce platform and third party systems.
. Solid understanding of relational data modelling, HTML/CSS for responsive email, and REST/SOAP API integration.
. Working knowledge of email deliverability, anti spam legislation (CASL), and data privacy obligations in a Canadian context.
. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non technical stakeholders.

Preferred Experience 

. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer, Marketing Cloud Consultant, and/or Email Specialist certifications.
. Experience with Marketing Cloud Personalization (Interaction Studio) and Marketing Cloud Intelligence (Datorama).
. Familiarity with Data Cloud (Customer Data Platform) and its use in unifying customer data for activation.
. Experience delivering in the public sector or healthcare, including working within regulated / privacy sensitive environments.
. Exposure to Salesforce core clouds (Sales, Service, Marketing Cloud Account Engagement / Pardot).

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $85,000 - $160,000.
