Position Description
CGI is seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team. In this senior leadership role, you will shape the organization's technology landscape by translating business strategies into scalable, secure, and sustainable technology solutions. You will lead solution architecture, design, and analysis while collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to deliver solutions aligned with enterprise standards and strategic business objectives.

As a trusted advisor, you will establish architecture standards and technology roadmaps, evaluate emerging technologies, and provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Translate business strategy and requirements into enterprise solution architectures
• Lead solution architecture, design, and analysis for large-scale implementation initiatives

• Design technology-agnostic integrations, automations, and application interfaces/contracts
• Perform architecture impact assessments for technology and business changes
• Prepare and maintain solution architecture documentation and related artifacts
• Ensure solutions align with the enterprise architecture framework, standards, and governance
• Participate in solution assessments and technology selection activities
• Develop application architecture strategies and technology roadmaps
• Provide architectural oversight throughout solution delivery and mentor development teams
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to deliver successful business outcomes

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another technology-focused discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 2 years leading projects and/or supervising others
• Experience developing solution architecture for large-scale implementation projects
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture disciplines, including Business, Application, Data, Cloud, and Security Architecture
• Strong understanding of application development technologies and frameworks, including web applications, client-server architecture, multi-tier systems, databases, and middleware
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, Spiral, Rapid Prototyping, Incremental, and Synchronize & Stabilize
• Knowledge of architecture modeling languages such as UML and ArchiMate
• Experience designing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms
• Understanding of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
• Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and solution design principles
• Understanding of IT standards, governance, and security controls
• Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and ITIL frameworks
• Strong communication, collaboration, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skills

• Ability to evaluate the financial impact of architecture alternatives
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
• Ability to quickly assess and adopt emerging technologies

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$155,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
