Gestionnaire des ressources humaines – Québec

Le gestionnaire des ressources humaines est responsable de soutenir et de mettre en œuvre la stratégie en ressources humaines de l’organisation pour les opérations au Québec. Ce rôle travaille en étroite collaboration avec les leaders et les employés afin de fournir des conseils en RH et un soutien opérationnel dans les domaines des relations avec les employés, de la conformité, de l’acquisition de talents, de la gestion de la performance, de la rémunération, des avantages sociaux et des programmes RH.

Le gestionnaire RH sert de point de contact clé pour les gestionnaires et les employés, aidant à garantir l’application cohérente des politiques et pratiques RH tout en respectant les lois sur l’emploi applicables au Québec et au Canada. Ce rôle combine un partenariat stratégique et une exécution pratique, et joue un rôle important dans la création d’une expérience employé positive et le soutien de l’efficacité organisationnelle.

Ce poste sera en télétravail jusqu'au 1er octobre 2026 environ, date à laquelle il s'effectuera sur place, dans les locaux de notre client au Québec.

Fonctions et responsabilités essentielles

Relations avec les employés et conformité

  • Servir de partenaire RH de confiance pour les gestionnaires et les employés en offrant des conseils sur les relations avec les employés, l'interprétation des politiques, les préoccupations liées à la performance, les problèmes de présence, les enquêtes, les mesures correctives et les terminaisons.
  • Soutenir la résolution des conflits et la gestion des problèmes des employés de manière équitable, cohérente et conforme.
  • Mener ou appuyer les enquêtes en milieu de travail et préparer la documentation et les recommandations au besoin.
  • Collaborer avec les dirigeants pour répondre aux préoccupations des employés et soutenir un environnement de travail positif et productif.
  • Assurer la conformité avec toutes les lois fédérales et provinciales en matière d’emploi applicables, y compris, mais sans s’y limiter :
  • Les normes du travail et de l’emploi du Québec
  • Les exigences en matière de droits de la personne et de harcèlement en milieu de travail
  • Les obligations en santé et sécurité au travail
  • L’équité salariale et les exigences relatives aux congés applicables
  • La protection des renseignements personnels et les obligations relatives aux dossiers des employés
  • Travailler en partenariat avec les conseillers juridiques et la direction sur des questions complexes de relations avec les employés et les stratégies de réduction des risques.
  • Maintenir et mettre à jour les politiques, procédures et pratiques RH pour assurer la conformité et l'efficacité opérationnelle.
  • Tenir à jour les dossiers des employés et la documentation RH conformément aux exigences légales et de l'entreprise.
  • Soutenir les audits internes, les examens de conformité et les besoins en rapports au besoin.

Acquisition de talents et planification de la main-d'œuvre

  • Collaborer avec les responsables d'entreprise pour identifier les besoins en personnel et soutenir les efforts de planification de la main-d'œuvre.
  • Superviser les stratégies de recrutement pour les postes salariés et horaires, selon le cas.
  • S'assurer que les pratiques d'intégration facilitent l'intégration, l'engagement et la fidélisation des employés.

Gestion de la performance et développement des talents

  • Conseiller les gestionnaires sur les meilleures pratiques en matière de gestion de la performance, y compris le coaching, les mesures correctives et les stratégies de développement des employés.
  • Identifier les besoins en formation et soutenir la mise en œuvre des initiatives de formation pour les employés et les gestionnaires.
  • Favoriser l'engagement, la responsabilisation et le développement des employés grâce à un partenariat et un soutien RH constants.

Qualifications

  • Baccalauréat en ressources humaines, administration des affaires, relations industrielles ou dans un domaine connexe préféré.
  • Désignation CRHA/CHRP préférée.
  • Plus de 5 ans d’expérience progressive en ressources humaines, y compris une expérience significative en relations avec les employés, conformité et leadership RH.
  • Expérience préalable en soutien aux employés et aux opérations au Québec requise.
  • Bonne connaissance des normes d’emploi au Québec et des pratiques RH canadiennes.
  • Expérience en conseil aux gestionnaires et gestion de dossiers complexes de relations avec les employés.
  • Expérience démontrée à diriger des initiatives RH dans un environnement rapide, multi-sites ou opérationnel de préférence.
  • Expérience avec les systèmes SIRH, la production de rapports et l'amélioration des processus RH fortement préférée.

Connaissances, compétences et aptitudes

  • Solide connaissance des lois et règlements du travail et de l'emploi au Québec, ainsi que des meilleures pratiques en RH.
  • Capacité à influencer et à collaborer efficacement avec les dirigeants à tous les niveaux de l'organisation.
  • Excellent jugement, discrétion et compétences en résolution de problèmes pour gérer des enjeux sensibles liés aux employés.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication, y compris la capacité à gérer des conversations difficiles avec professionnalisme et empathie.
  • Capacité éprouvée à concilier réflexion stratégique et exécution pratique.
  • Solides compétences organisationnelles avec la capacité de gérer plusieurs priorités et échéances.
  • Esprit analytique avec la capacité d'interpréter les données sur la main-d'œuvre et de transformer les idées en actions.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting and executing the organization’s human resources strategy for Quebec operations. This role partners closely with business leaders and employees to provide HR guidance and operational support across employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, benefits, and HR programs.

The HR Manager serves as a key point of contact for managers and employees, helping to ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices while maintaining compliance with applicable Quebec and Canadian employment laws. This role balances strategic partnership with hands-on execution and plays an important role in fostering a positive employee experience and supporting organizational effectiveness.

This role will be remote until approx October 1st 2026, at which time it will become onsite at our client facility in Quebec.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Serve as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees by providing guidance on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, performance concerns, attendance issues, investigations, corrective action, and terminations.
  • Support conflict resolution and employee issue management in a fair, consistent, and compliant manner.
  • Conduct or support workplace investigations and prepare documentation and recommendations as needed.
  • Partner with leaders to address employee concerns and support a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and provincial employment legislation, including but not limited to:
    • Quebec labour and employment standards
    • Human rights and workplace harassment requirements
    • Occupational health and safety obligations
    • Pay equity and applicable leave requirements
    • Privacy and employee records obligations
  • Partner with legal counsel and leadership on complex employee relations issues and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation in accordance with legal and company requirements.
  • Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and reporting requirements as needed.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Partner with business leaders to identify staffing needs and support workforce planning efforts.
  • Oversee recruiting strategies for salaried and hourly roles, as applicable.
  • Ensure onboarding practices support employee integration, engagement, and retention.

Performance Management & Talent Development

  • Coach managers on performance management best practices including coaching, corrective action, and employee development strategies.
  • Identify training needs and support the implementation of employee and manager training initiatives.
  • Promote employee engagement, accountability, and development through consistent HR partnership and support.

HR Operations

  • Ensure accurate HR records, reporting, and data integrity within HR systems.
  • Monitor HR metrics and reporting related to turnover, hiring, absenteeism, employee relations, and other key workforce indicators.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Operations, and Legal to ensure alignment and effective support of the business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field preferred.
  • CHRP/CRHA designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant experience in employee relations, compliance, and HR leadership.
  • Prior experience supporting employees and operations in Quebec required.
  • Strong knowledge of Quebec employment standards and Canadian HR practices.
  • Experience advising leaders and managing complex employee relations matters.
  • Demonstrated experience leading HR initiatives in a fast-paced, multi-site, or operational environment preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, reporting, and HR process improvement strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of Quebec labour and employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Ability to influence and partner effectively with leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and problem-solving skills in handling sensitive employee matters.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to navigate difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret workforce data and translate insights into action.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Language Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and French, both written and verbal, required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, and external stakeholders in both official working languages relevant to the Quebec workforce.

Working Conditions

  • This role will require being present at operating sites within Quebec and/or other Canadian locations, as needed.
  • Flexibility of work schedule as needs arise during nights or weekends.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage urgent employee and business matters with professionalism and responsiveness.
