Care Centres - Fitness & Wellness Consultant - On client's site

Location: Downtown Toronto, ON

Status: Independent Contractor (IHP) – Coverage Position

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., as required based on coverage needs (up to 32 hours per week)

TELUS Health is looking for a Corporate Wellness Centre Coverage Contract in downtown Toronto. This role is ideal for an energetic fitness and wellness professional who enjoys delivering exceptional employee wellness experiences, building workplace community, and managing day-to-day wellness centre operations in a dynamic corporate environment.

What you'll do: 

Wellness Centre Operations & Administration

• Oversee daily Wellness Centre operations and maintain a safe, welcoming environment 
• Complete facility walkthroughs, maintain supplies, and coordinate with building services 
• Support workplace inspections, safety audits, and emergency procedures 
• Track attendance and promote participation in wellness programming 

Fitness & Wellness Programming

• Teach one 60-minute wellness or fitness class each day 
• Provide equipment orientations and support safe use of the fitness room 
• Coordinate and monitor group fitness classes including yoga, Pilates, strength, and mindful movement 
• Facilitate meditation sessions, stretch breaks, and wellness breaks 
• Support client wellness initiatives and internal wellness campaigns

What you bring:

Education & Certifications:

• Degree or diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness, Health Promotion, Workplace Wellness, or related field
• Current group fitness instructor certification
• Current personal training certification
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
