Vertical Farming Director - Head Grower

UP Vertical Farms is looking for a full-time Head Grower in Pitt Meadows, BC. This director-level role focuses on leading cultivation operations to produce top-quality plants. The Head Grower will ensure optimal growth conditions while managing all aspects of the growing process, including environmental controls and team supervision. Ideal candidates will utilize their experience to implement effective strategies and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Your role will be crucial in maintaining high standards for crop production in a dynamic agricultural environment. Key Responsibilities:
• Direct and oversee all crop cultivation and quality controls
• Implement strategies for optimal yield and environmental health
• Manage team operations and training programs effectively
• Ensure adherence to food safety and regulatory guidelines
• Maintain records on all aspects of crop management Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Biology, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years in commercial growing environments
• Leadership experience is essential
• Knowledge of hydroponic systems is a bonus
