Kamik seeks a Senior Footwear Designer to craft innovative and high-performance footwear for outdoor adventures. This role demands technical expertise and a vision for blending style with functionality in every design. In this influential position, you will manage the design process from concept to production sample, ensuring every shoe meets customer needs and brand standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in outdoor footwear, a mastery of performance materials, and the ability to communicate ideas effectively to teams and stakeholders. Your design leadership will guide the team through all phases of product development. Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate product design with a focus on functionality and user needs
- Develop precise technical documentation for manufacturing accuracy
- Select advanced materials driving performance and value
- Analyze trends and insights to maintain a competitive edge
- Collaborate on product prototypes and improvements
- Manage timelines effectively across various projects
- At least 10 years in footwear design, mainly in outdoor markets
- Proficient in advanced material and construction knowledge
- Deep understanding of footwear production processes
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong ability to handle independent projects from start to finish
