Senior Learning Experience Designer

At the Safety Codes Council, our work helps make Alberta safer, supports healthy communities, and contributes to lasting economic growth and prosperity. We’re looking for a Senior Learning Experience Designer who can design thoughtful, engaging, and evidence-based learning for technical audiences while connecting that learning to real-world impact.

This role is ideal for someone who sees learning as more than content and designs learning ecosystems that support performance, strategy, and outcomes.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop eLearning, workshops, and technical learning
• Build curricula, frameworks, and learning strategies
• Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to shape learning solutions
• Apply UX, accessibility, and evaluation practices to learning design
• Review and refine content for clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness

What you bring

• 5+ years of demonstrated instructional design experience
• Strong experience building structured eLearning courses
• Proficiency with Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline) or similar tools
• Experience working with technical subject matter experts
• A thoughtful, learner-centred approach to design

Position profile

• Position Type: Term (12 months with a possibility of extension) , Full-Time (36.25 hours/week)
• Number of Positions: 1
• Salary Range: $94,300 - $126,500
• Closing Date: Open until suitable candidates are found, with interviews conducted on a rolling basis.
