Join DFI as a Temporary Mechanical Design Engineer in Edmonton, AB, focusing on the design and optimization of in-house manufacturing equipment. Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for investigating equipment failures and contributing to innovative design solutions, while enhancing your communication skills with project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize equipment designs for DFI's manufacturing processes
- Involve in R&D projects and team initiatives
- Investigate failures and develop practical solutions
- Review vendor proposals and technical drawings
- Create and implement 3D models and carry out FEA studies
- Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma required
- Professional Engineer Designation beneficial or working towards
- Proven experience in custom manufacturing
- Strong skills in 3D modeling; Inventor preferred
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
