About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Accounts Administrator to join our finance team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in a collaborative environment. As a Junior Accounts Administrator, you will assist the Controller with various administrative and accounting tasks, and provide backup support for reception duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the Controller, including organizing and maintaining financial records.
• Assist with routine accounting tasks such as processing invoices, payments, and transactions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and filing systems.
• Serve as backup for reception duties, including answering and directing phone calls, and greeting visitors.
• Communicate with other departments and external partners to support day-to-day financial activities.
• Handle various ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the Controller.
• Ensure compliance with company policies in all work performed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience or education in administration or accounting is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good communication skills and a team player attitude.
• Comfortable with handling phone calls and providing reception support.
• Eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Hours and Work Location:

• Part-time position, Monday to Friday, working approximately 5 hours per day.
• Flexibility with start and end times within our office hours (our office is open 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• The role is on-site at our office in Mississauga.
