Advance York University's strategic goals as a Government Relations Officer. This role requires strong government relations and partner management skills, along with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Reporting to the Director of Government and Community Relations, this position demands 5 years of related experience. Your mission will be to foster long-term relationships with stakeholders while implementing strategic plans. Travel to key locations like Parliament Hill and York campuses for events and meetings is essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Support government relations strategic plan initiatives
- Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships
- Attend community events and meetings across key locations
- Influence government policies and advocate for the university
- Prepare policy material for engagement with government entities
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or Political Science
- Minimum 5 years of experience in government relations
- In-depth knowledge of government protocol and structure
- Proven ability to manage partnerships and policies
- Strong research and analytical skills
