OREA Government Relations Specialist Position

Become a Government Relations Specialist at OREA, focusing on advocacy within the Golden Horseshoe Region. This role involves strategic engagement at both municipal and provincial levels. As part of the Regional Government Relations team, you will assist in formulating advocacy campaigns, build essential relationships, and monitor local government issues affecting the real estate sector. This full-time and hybrid role requires frequent travel, making it ideal for candidates based in the region who are passionate about legislative processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the creation of digital advocacy campaigns
- Engage with municipal and provincial elected officials
- Organize stakeholder engagement and REALTOR roundtables
- Research and analyze local issues affecting housing
- Support local Member Boards with advocacy plans
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 3 to 5 years in government relations or public affairs
- Understanding of legislative processes in Ontario
- Must possess a valid Ontario driver’s license
- Experience with grassroots campaigns preferred
