Project Accountant - Billing - 18-Month Contract

Cencora

Cencora seeks a Project Accountant to manage billing and revenue recognition for client accounts under a Team Lead. The role involves processing invoices, validating contracts, monitoring accounts receivable, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for assigned portfolios within the 18-month contract period.

Responsibilities

Interpret contract terms and configure billing setup in Sage for accurate invoicing and revenue recognition
Execute client billing activities, prepare invoices with supporting documentation, and coordinate internal approvals
Monitor project budgets, track billings, and resolve discrepancies with business partners
Partner with Program Management on invoice questions, contract updates, and aged invoice resolution
Support finance process improvements and audit requirements while maintaining compliant documentation

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) and strong organizational skills
Prior experience with SAGE accounting software preferred
Basic knowledge of accounting practices and principles
Strong written and oral communication abilities
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
