Food and Beverage Supervisor

ROLE
Reporting to the Restaurant and Kitchen Manager, he/she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, bar and coffee counter, ensuring that the service standards set by Rimap and Marriott Hospitality Services are met and that customer expectations are exceeded.

RESPONSABILITIES

• Lead and manage on the floor, the restaurant service teams as well as the lounge bar and the hotel's Café counter;
• Ensure the smooth functioning of the operational and administrative needs of the sector in order to achieve the various performance indicators;
• Enforce hotel procedures and service standards on a daily basis;
• Support the Director in a number of operational and administrative tasks;
• Help develop action plans for different periods of the year;
• Be a leader and a positive role model for colleagues;
• Handle guest problems and react quickly and professionally;
• Have a thorough knowledge of all our products: dishes, spirits and wines;
• Plan and organize departmental meetings;
• Enforce food and beverage hygiene and safety policies (MAPAQ);

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of three years' experience in the food service industry, including supervisory and management experience, is required.
• Previous experience as a food and beverage manager in a unionized hotel, minimum 3 years;
• Previous management experience in a high-volume food service establishment, minimum 3 years;
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment;
• Knowledge of POS systems required;
• Autonomous leader with a strong sense of initiative;
• Excellent communication and organizational skills;
• Interpersonal and problem-solving skills;
• Particularly responsible and reliable;
• Ability to focus on guests' needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
• Flexible schedule (day, evening, weekends and holidays);
• Bilingual French/English; French is the first language of welcome for our customers.  As an international organization, we welcome nearly 50% English-speaking customers every day.
