The Marriott Château Champlain is a 1-minute walk from the metro, accessible through an underground passage adjacent to the Bell Centre and also via 1000 De La Gauchetière. This iconic Montreal hotel, with its 36 floors, 614 rooms, 13 suites, and 25 meeting rooms, was completely renovated in 2021 and can accommodate up to 1000 guests. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage Outlets, the Terrace Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the beautiful and iconic Belvu Terrace , located on the 3rd floor of the Marriott Château Champlain. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring service efficiency, managing staff, and maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction across all related areas.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the overall operation of the terrace, including service, guest reception, and cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and food safety standards.
• Manage opening and closing procedures, equipment, and inventory.
• Lead and coordinate the team (servers, supervisors, hosts, bartenders as needed).
• Prepare schedules and assign daily tasks.
• Train staff on service standards and internal procedures.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and handle service issues or complaints.
• Monitor service quality and overall ambiance.
• Track inventory levels and place orders for products and supplies.
• Participate in menu development and seasonal promotions.
• Communicate operational needs, issues, and improvement suggestions to management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Coach and develop terrace supervisors.
• Participate in the recruitment process.

• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, day and/or evening shifts.

Languages : Bilingualism (French and English) in both spoken and written form is required for this position, as we serve an international client.
