Remote Senior Privacy Counsel at Prospeo

Become a pivotal legal force at Prospeo as a Remote Senior Privacy Counsel, focusing on data privacy and regulatory compliance while working from anywhere in Canada. Reporting directly to the co-founders, you will manage GDPR, CCPA, and PIPEDA compliance while handling commercial contracts. This role allows you to dictate the legal strategy and own the privacy program. Use your legal acumen and AI tools to navigate the data-driven landscape and maintain the highest standards of privacy protection in a fast-growing B2B SaaS environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day privacy operations and compliance
- Draft and negotiate various commercial contracts
- Serve as internal coordination for litigation matters
- Maintain vendor due diligence and inbound DPA negotiations
- Oversee data subject access and deletion requests
- Law degree and bar admission in Canada
- CIPP/E certification required
- 4+ years in commercial and privacy legal work
- Experience with GDPR, CCPA, and data subject requests
- Proficiency in AI legal tools and self-direction
