Job Summary
Coordinate and optimize routes and crew schedules to support timely and cost-effective transportation operations. Communicate with field staff and stakeholders to resolve conflicts and maintain service levels.

Main Duties
- Develop and adjust daily and weekly route plans and crew assignments to meet service requirements and operational constraints.
- Communicate schedule changes and dispatch information to drivers, crew members, and supervisors via phone, email, or dispatch systems.
- Monitor real-time operations to identify delays, disruptions, and resource shortages, and implement contingency plans.
- Maintain accurate scheduling records, manifests, and logs; prepare routine reports on utilization and performance metrics.
- Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and customer service to align crew availability with vehicle readiness and demand.
- Analyze route efficiency and crew utilization data to recommend improvements and cost-saving measures.
Requirements
- Secondary school diploma; post-secondary education in logistics, business, or a related field is an asset.
- Minimum one year of experience in scheduling, dispatch, or transportation coordination.
- Proficiency with scheduling or dispatch software and spreadsheet applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for directing personnel and liaising with stakeholders.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as operational needs require.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
