Join the LLS Autopsy Services team as a Pathologist's Assistant, focusing on medical-legal and hospital autopsies. Contribute your expertise in surgical gross specimen handling and autopsy documentation. As a full-time Pathologist's Assistant in the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine department, you will perform critical functions assisting pathologists with both hospital and legal autopsies. Candidates should have a Bachelor of Science in health sciences or biology and a master's level Pathologists Assistant degree. With strong knowledge of anatomy and autopsy procedures, you will support healthcare operations through documentation and specimen examination. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with hospital and medical-legal autopsies
• Prepare and document autopsy procedures accurately
• Examine and dissect surgical gross specimens
• Support operative pathology under the pathologist’s supervision
• Maintain precision in specimen handling and processing Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences or Biology
• Master’s level Pathologists Assistant program completion
• Certification through CCCPA or ASCP-BOC PA is an asset
• Minimum one year relevant experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills Utilize your autopsy and anatomical expertise as part of the committed team at LLS Autopsy Services.
