Assistant Manager Food Services In Vancouver

Lead food service across Vancouver's childcare centers as an Assistant Food Services Manager with VSOCC. Manage kitchen operations while ensuring compliance and meal quality for children.
VSOCC is expanding and looking for an Assistant Food Services Manager to oversee operations across 15 childcare locations.
This role emphasizes effective kitchen management, staff training, and adherence to food safety standards. Collaborate closely with the Food Services Manager to ensure that meals meet nutritional guidelines and are delivered promptly.
Key Responsibilities Oversee daily food service operations and compliance
Mentor kitchen staff while ensuring procedural adherence
Conduct budgeting and procurement activities
Support meal preparation and delivery during staffing challenges
Maintain correct documentation for health inspections
Requirements Diploma in Food and Nutrition Management required
At least 5 years of management experience in food services
FoodSafe Level 2 and First Aid certification mandatory
Solid leadership skills and teamwork abilities
Must be capable of physical demands of the job
