Business Development Manager

Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a passion for winning new business and building long-term client partnerships?
We're hiring a Business Development Manager for a leading organization in the commercial security industry. This is a high-impact hybrid hunter role focused on generating new business, developing strategic client relationships, and driving revenue growth across a diverse portfolio of commercial security solutions.
Working closely with internal leadership, operations, and account management teams, you will play a key role in expanding market share while positioning yourself as a trusted advisor to executive-level decision makers.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within targeted industries and markets
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with prospective clients
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposal development, negotiation, and closing
- Develop strategic account plans to maximize long-term revenue opportunities
- Partner with Account Managers to identify cross-selling and account expansion opportunities
- Prepare customized client presentations, proposals, and RFP responses
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecasting through CRM systems
- Represent the organization at networking events, industry associations, and trade shows
- Stay informed on market trends, competitive activity, and emerging client needs
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process
Business Development Manager Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of proven success in business development or consultative B2B sales
- University Degree Preferred
- Demonstrated success generating net new business and consistently exceeding sales targets
- Strong experience managing the complete sales cycle from prospecting through close
- Exceptional relationship-building and executive-level communication skills
- Strategic consultative selling experience with complex solutions
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and proposal development skills
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce
- Excellent organizational, pipeline management, and forecasting abilities
- Valid driver's licence with the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
- Experience within the commercial security industry or related B2B service industries is considered a strong asset
