We are seeking a highly accomplished Systems Administrator/Operations Support Specialist - Senior for an enterprise-level contract opportunity based in Toronto. In this role, you will take on a premier Siebel CRM systems administration, operational support, and environment management capacity, specializing in maintaining high-availability architectures and multi-tier application environments.
As a senior systems administrator, you will bridge the gap between core infrastructure, database administration, middleware integrations, and operational release management. Operating fully onsite in Toronto, you will lead end-to-end Siebel Server administration—managing Siebel Gateway Name Server, Siebel Enterprise Server, Siebel Web Server Extension (SWSE), repository migrations, and system upgrades. This position demands a technical systems authority with deep hands-on expertise in Oracle Siebel CRM, Oracle databases, Siebel EAI, and scripting who can troubleshoot complex performance bottlenecks, resolve component failures, and ensure overall platform reliability. Location: Toronto, ON Assignment Type: Onsite (5 days per week) Contract Duration: 6-month contract

Perform end-to-end administration, installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and maintenance across multi-tier Siebel environments (Development, Test, UAT, and Production). Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Siebel Gateway, Siebel Enterprise Server, Siebel Web Server Extension (SWSE), and related infrastructure components. Execute code promotions, repository merges, migrations, and release management activities across all environments. Troubleshoot complex Siebel performance issues, server bottlenecks, component failures, enterprise synchronization issues, and application outages. Monitor application health, analyze server logs, execute capacity planning, and establish proactive system maintenance routines. Support integrations between Siebel CRM and external systems using Siebel EAI, Integration Objects, Web Services, RESTful APIs, and XML payloads. Collaborate with Database Administrators to perform Oracle database performance monitoring, SQL troubleshooting, and query optimization. Maintain Siebel repository configurations, workflows, Business Services, Business Components, Applets, Views, and Open UI customizations. Manage user access control, user profiles, system backups, disaster recovery procedures, and day-to-day computer operations. Author comprehensive operational procedures, technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and support runbooks following ITIL-based service management standards. Qualifications
Core Technical & Systems Administration Requirements
Siebel CRM Tenure: Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience supporting, administering, and maintaining Oracle Siebel CRM environments in large enterprise organizations. Siebel Server Administration: Demonstrated expertise in Siebel Server administration, including installation, multi-tier environment management, SWSE configuration, and patching. Troubleshooting & Performance: Extensive experience diagnosing Siebel server bottlenecks, component crashes, log analysis, and system outage resolution. Repository & Release Management: Proven experience conducting Siebel repository merges, migration utilities, code deployments, and release management workflows. Integration & Database Skills: Hands-on experience with Siebel EAI, Integration Objects, XML, Web Services (REST/SOAP), middleware platforms, and Oracle database SQL querying/monitoring. Scripting & Automation: Proficiency with operational scripting tools (Python, PowerShell, Batch scripts) and system configuration utilities. Preferred Assets & Knowledge
Siebel Configuration Tools: Working knowledge of Siebel Tools, eScript, Workflow Processes, Assignment Manager, Runtime Events, and Open UI framework customization. ITIL Framework: Strong understanding of ITIL-based service management processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management. Public Sector Context: Prior experience working within public sector environments is a valuable asset. Soft Skills & Professional Attributes
